In December 2025, a group of like minded Peer Workers met and shared our frustrations with the mental health sector. The clinicians that did not understand our lived reality. The for-profit NDIS sharks, the complicated system, and the lack of accessibility stemming from the hundreds and hundreds of dollars needed to access quality support. There must be a better way we thought. And there is! A lived experience owned and operated NFP run for the benefit of people over profit - and with minds like ours.
In a mental health context, a Peer Worker is someone who has lived and/or living experience of mental health challenges. We use our experiences from our own recovery journey to support others. We use the principles of mutuality and respect to support you to move towards your recovery goals.
I have over 10 years of experience as a certified life coach and have helped hundreds of clients achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being. My approach is holistic and tailored to each individual's unique needs.
I believe that everyone has the potential to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. By identifying and working towards their goals, my clients are able to unlock their full potential and create a life they love.
I offer a range of services including one-on-one coaching, group coaching, and workshops. These services are designed to help clients overcome obstacles, improve their mindset, and achieve their goals.
providing the understanding and empathy needed to foster and maintain hope for recovery and improved quality of life. We offer an approach inspired by affirmative care where we value your identity and uniqueness and the way that it affects your personal experience of the recovery process. We understand what it’s like for this uniqueness to be disregarded so we make the effort to take into account and empathetically affirm your individual identity and needs.

Minds Like Mine Coaching is unique in its background and its approach to supporting their community. As formally trained Peer Workers, we bring lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery into our roles, allowing us to connect with participants in a way that is authentic, empathetic, and affirming. This shared understanding allows us to have a non-hierarchical team environment. We are also able to reduce power dynamics that usually exist in practitioner-client relationships and instead prioritise participants feeling genuinely seen, heard, and respected.
Because our work is informed by lived experience, we approach Psychosocial Recovery Coaching through a strengths-based lens. We recognise that recovery looks different for everyone, and we focus on supporting participants to identify their own goals, build confidence, and reconnect with the parts of life that are meaningful to them. Rather than positioning ourselves as experts, we walk alongside participants and empower them in both their day-to-day lives and their broader recovery journey. We offer support, hope, and practical guidance drawn from Peer discipline training, such as Intentional Peer Support (IPS) and the Hearing Voices Approach, and personal insight.
Our peer-led approach also shapes the culture of the support we provide. It prioritises mutual respect, authenticity, and collaboration, creating a safe and empowering environment where participants can explore their recovery at their own pace, supported by people who genuinely understand the challenges and the possibilities of accessing support and the impact this can have on the trajectory of one’s recovery journey.
